On Monday I attended a ‘new students day’ at my college, Saint Mary’s College of Maryland and found out that I will be staying in Caroline Hall (the best of the freshman dorms) in room 121. Monday was also the day that I packed up all of the furniture in my apartment and sent it to my folks house on the Cape.

Even though I have known that my time as the Jane Goodall Institute’s Youth Leadership Fellow was coming to an end and my time as a college student at SMCM was quickly approaching, it finally seems like it is really going to happen.

I also got to pick my classes! Fortunately, I was able to avoid those 8 AMs. In fact, my earliest class for this coming semester is 10:00- and that is only twice a week, the other three days my earliest class is 10:40! Thank god.

So, this semester I will be taking Econ 101, Psychology 101, Comparative Politics, Computer Science and a first year seminar ‘Following the 2008 Election.’ I am pretty excited!
